I would like to take the opportunity to introduce the newest member of our family. The F/V Shenanigans.
She is a 38 foot Egg Harbor. Built solely for comfort and speed. Upon purchase in July of 2004, we delivered the boat to Rye
to begin her restoration. It had the typical Egg Harbor problems. The sheer clamp needed to be replaced, the engines had a
major flaw, they were powered with gasoline. So, our very first sea trial was done, the port engine failed 7 minutes in to
the sea trial. Back to the dock on one engine. So we hauled the boat to determine her problems, there was many. So we went
to work. The foredeck was in dire need of replacing, the engines had to be removed and new ones put in. The engine room needed
to be rewired, new bilge pumps installed and anything else that looked like it needed to be either fixed or replaced was done.
So 10 months after purchase, she is deemed ready for service.
