Sport Fishing in New Hampshire on Board the Tontine
Are you sick of going Fishing or Whale Watching on a crowded
boat where there is just barely enough room for you and your family or too crowded to enjoy your day on the high seas.
Have you ever considered chartering your own boat? The crew is there to cater to your every need, theres plenty of room, and
you know everyone on the boat. The Tontine is the perfect thing for you. We can accomodate up to 20 people, Just you and your
family, some of your best friends, or even Business meetings.
Rye Harbor is one of the most picturesque places you will
ever see. Located along scenic Route 1A on the New Hampshire Coastline. There are plenty of sights to see when on board with
us. With the Isles Of Shoals only 20 quick minutes from our dock, you will be in amazement.
The Tontine is one of the finest vessels on the whole Coast. She
is 42 feet long, and boasts a speed of over twenty knots. There`s a fully enclosed cabin to get out of the sun, and sit
down for a few minutes, if you would like. She also carries a full compliment of the most modern electronics including chartplotter
and GPS. Once on board you will find one of the cleanest boats you have ever sailed on. She is also certified by
the United States Coast Gaurd to carry more than 6 passengers. Which means we undergo two grueling safety inspections
by the USCG twice a year. The only Charter Boat in Rye Harbor that can claim this.
Although New Hampshire has the smallest coastline in New
England, it offers some of the best Salt Water Fishing in the entire Country. Have you ever fought a 20 lb. Bluefish,
eaten a piece of fresh Haddock or Cod, or caught a 50 lb. Striper?
On board the Tontine, Dreams can become reality. With Spring Cod
and Haddock fishing being the best it`s been in decades, the catches total 800 lbs. on most trips. Cod, Haddock
and Pollock are some of the best tasting fish on Earth. The best time to go for these little gems would be in April,
May, June, September and October.
In June, the Mackeral show up, which means the Stripers
aren`t far behind. When they come its complete mayhem. Live bait fishing for Stripers is nothing short of amazing.
It gets so hectic that we like to limit our trips to 8 people or less. It`s so much fun, words can`t even describe it.
When the Bluefish move in to reclaim their territory
along the New England Coastline, its a battle between the Blues and Stripers to see who can eat more. If you have never caught
a Bluefish, you are in for a lot of fun. These eating machines can come as fast as you can keep bait on your hook. Imagine
20 lbs. of pure power on the end of your Rod and Reel. This is so much fun only experiencing first hand can describe
the joy you will expierience when you finally land him.
Have you ever seen a Humpback Whale, Finback Whale or a pod
of playful Dolphins up close? They are often bigger than the boat, and reffered to as Gentle Giants. Well, we see them
quite frequently on our journeys to Jeffreys Ledge to go Cod, Haddock, and Pollock fishing. It is a sight you will not
soon forget and the best part about it is the show is free.
